If you are tired of switching back and forth between applications, to copy something over and over again, then you might want to try Free Clipboard Manager. It retains all text clips and images you copy to the clipboard and it allows you to paste them at any time, in any order you want. What's more, the application automatically saves your clipboard's contents to the hard drive, which gives you many interesting possibilities.

The software is offered completely free of charge, as its name suggests. Although it doesn't need to be installed, you may want to extract its executable in its own folder, because the application will create new files and folders once you run it. Free Clipboard Manager works on all popular Windows platforms and it provides support for both 32 and 64-bit operating systems.

The application comes with a compact user interface, which you have to interact with only when you need to paste something. Once you copy a piece of text or take a screenshot with the PrintScreen key, the new clip will instantly appear on the aforementioned interface. Text, images and HTML pages are color-coded differently, to make them easier to spot. Also, if you have one or more clips you work with frequently, you can add them to a favorites list, on the same interface.

If you wish to insert a piece of text or a screenshot in a project, you only need to double click its entry, on Free Clipboard Manager's interface, to copy it again to the clipboard. The interface can stay on top of everything else and it won't get in your way, due to its small size. Furthermore, you can bring it up on the screen instantly, at any time, through a system tray icon.

Free Clipboard Manager comes with other interesting features. You may not notice them right away, but you will find them quite useful. As previously mentioned, all clips are saved automatically on the hard drive. This means that pressing the PrintScreen key will also create a new image on the hard drive, instead of just copying it to the clipboard. The application can also remove blank spaces, quotation marks or apostrophes, replace tabs and more.

Pros

Free Clipboard Manager's functionality is straightforward and simple. It automatically saves all text and image clips on the hard drive. The application can remove blank spaces from text clips, replace characters and more.

Cons

The application is limited to text and images. When using Free Clipboard Manager, any copied text fragment or image can be used and reused without the need to copy them more than once.
